Anesthesia
At the thought of surgical intervention one may feel anxiety and probably fear. Both are logical and to a certain extent healthy reactions. No matter how strange it may sound, most patients don't fear the surgical procedure itself but the anesthesia.
On our scientific team, the anesthesiologist does not only have an important but rather a crucial role. Once there is an indication of a specific problem and it is decided to perform surgery for a specific pathology, the surgical procedures are specific and standard. Each time it is the patient and his particular problems that change (age, medical history and the overall health condition). It is at this point where the anesthesiologist intervenes.
In every surgical intervention the anesthesiologist has a certain role to play. However, in some operations or rather in some cases, the role of the anesthesiologist is even more important than the role of the surgeon
